This playful cherry-red hoodie vest, originally from LA brand Crooks & Castles, has a front pouch pocket in an abstract green print that reminds me of light coming through new spring leaves in the woods, which matches the lining of the roomy hood. These accents are original to the design, and I’ve added complementing details in fruit-print cotton canvas, gold striped cotton flannel, and a back patch with red lettering that reads “RIPEN SLOWLY.” Careful hand-stitching, cheeky athletic jersey-style letters, and a bit of fringe for good measure make this a perfect companion for those warm-ish spring days ahead.
