Embroidered sky jacket

$170.00

Unisex petite M/L (see sizing note below)

This striking jacket is remade from an indigo-dyed coat originally from Anthropologie. The dye pattern reminds me of fluffy white clouds over a summer picnic. I removed and replaced the previous rivet buttons, extended the sleeve length, tailored the shape of the body to be more flattering, added hand-quilted cuffs and under-collar detail, and adorned the chest with hand-embroidered patches of delicious metallic linen. Hand-stitched lining, reclaimed from a cotton button-down shirt, gives the jacket two interior pockets in addition to the two front patch pockets. This is a light jacket for warm spring days and cool summer nights. Price includes shipping.

**** Sizing Note: I *strongly* encourage you to measure yourself and/or a favorite garment to compare to the measurements below, rather than relying on letter sizes. I estimate letter sizes based on these measurements when compared to typical unisex sizing. If you have any sizing questions before purchasing, please email me at [email protected]****

I do not offer refunds, but please contact me for lifetime sliding scale mending services if your garment needs repairs or adjustments throughout its life. If, down the road, this garment no longer works for you, please pass it on to someone who will care for it, or I am happy to take it back and remake it for someone new to love. My remade garments are designed and created slowly, by hand and sewing machine, with second-hand clothing, fabric scraps, and reclaimed materials. As with all handmade objects and items from thrift stores, there may be quirky cosmetic imperfections and/or signs of previous wear. I do my best to ensure that your garments can be worn, loved, and used for a long time to come when properly cared for, but if you have any issues, please contact me for support.
