Dandelion coat with hand quilted blue and gray details

$145.00

Unisex L/XL (see sizing note below)

This vintage Eddie Bauer coat in sunny yellow canvas has been refreshed and updated with meticulous hand-quilted details in tones of blue and gray. I removed the awkward original pocket flaps and button placket, repaired tattered cuffs and interior, and gave the collar a new look. The solid and floral-print cotton fabrics are reclaimed from secondhand shirts and quilting scraps. The original cotton canvas is heavy-duty but has already been broken in by its previous owner, with cosmetic signs of wear around some edges. The original lining, in yellow and blue checked cotton with nylon sleeves, is in perfect condition. Price includes shipping.

**** Sizing Note: I *strongly* encourage you to measure yourself and/or a favorite garment to compare to the measurements below, rather than relying on letter sizes. I estimate letter sizes based on these measurements when compared to typical unisex sizing. If you have any sizing questions before purchasing, please email me at [email protected]****

I do not offer refunds, but please contact me for lifetime sliding scale mending services if your garment needs repairs or adjustments throughout its life. If, down the road, this garment no longer works for you, please pass it on to someone who will care for it, or I am happy to take it back and remake it for someone new to love. My remade garments are designed and created slowly, by hand and sewing machine, with second-hand clothing, fabric scraps, and reclaimed materials. As with all handmade objects and items from thrift stores, there may be quirky cosmetic imperfections and/or signs of previous wear. I do my best to ensure that your garments can be worn, loved, and used for a long time to come when properly cared for, but if you have any issues, please contact me for support.
