Cream, floral, and flannel field coat

$170.00 / Sold Out

I used careful hand-stitching to line this delightful vintage LL Bean field coat with a reclaimed plaid flannel shirt in red, white, and gray, which complements the cream and tan striped cotton canvas and red, yellow, and green floral accents. The original metal rivet buttons are covered with floral canvas so they won’t slide out of the hand-embroidered reinforced button holes. A hand quilted floral patch on the body balances out the three front patch pockets, and the cuffs and underside of the collar are lined with blue striped cotton. The back sides are subtly pleated to repair holes from previous buttons. This is the perfect lightweight jacket for all of your springtime adventures in nature, with three exterior pockets and two interior chest pockets for all the little flowers, seeds, and stones you find along the way. As this is a pre-owned vintage garment, there are some cosmetic signs of wear around the edges, and it feels comfortably broken-in. Price includes shipping.

I do not offer refunds, but please contact me for lifetime sliding scale mending services if your garment needs repairs or adjustments throughout its life. If, down the road, this garment no longer works for you, please pass it on to someone who will care for it, or I am happy to take it back and remake it for someone new to love. My remade garments are designed and created slowly, by hand and sewing machine, with second-hand clothing, fabric scraps, and reclaimed materials. As with all handmade objects and items from thrift stores, there may be quirky cosmetic imperfections and/or signs of previous wear. I do my best to ensure that your garments can be worn, loved, and used for a long time to come when properly cared for, but if you have any issues, please contact me for support.
